Geophysical Compilation and Interpretation Map
The proposed lengths of the drill holes have been estimated to pass through the specific geophysical anomalies.
However, the depth extent of some of the anomalies is not clearly understood.
A degree of flexibility should be exercised.
It may be prudent to terminate some of the drill holes early if they have not intersected an identifiable target as expected.
Others may warrant continuation past the recommended depth if they are still in “interesting” rocks.
Epithermal Target
This target:
- is hosted in the Nicola Group rocks about 500m south of the Kamloops Group/Nicola Group contact.
- sits above a steep southerly dipping low susceptibility rock unit (part of the Nicola Group).
- is centred across a large, northwesterly oriented elliptically shaped high chargeability anomaly.
- has a smaller, high chargeability satellite some 700m NW of the main zone.
- has a small, near surface, high susceptibility plug like body at its core.
- is bordered to the south by an east-west striking fault zone.
- is flanked by high resistivity layers to the north, east and south. These layers appear to form shallow, horizontal to southerly dipping layers at the same elevation as the high chargeability zone. The resistivity zone to the south may be associated with the fault zone.
Ten (10) ) drill holes are recommended to test the epithermal target and some localized anomalies around its edge.
- DH-1:
- 657350E / 5635135N / 1029 asl, azimuth= 020, dip= 60, length= 460m.
This hole tests the centre of the system.
It starts in the magnetic core, passes through the high chargeability anomaly and into the low susceptibility rock unit underlying the system.
- DH-3:
- 657425E / 5635300 / 1015 asl, azimuth= 066, dip= 45, length= 350m.
This hole tests the northern flank of the system.
It starts at the northern edge of the high chargeability core.
Down hole it should test the moderate chargeability halo to the north and the high resistivity layer along the northern flank.
If extended another 100m depth it could be used to test the low SI unit at the base of the system.
- DH-5:
- 657030E / 5635700N / 995 asl, azimuth= 0, dip= 60, length= 340m.
This hole tests the small, chargeability high at the northwest end of the system and the low resistivity linear running along the central axis.
It should also test a NE trending vlf-em trace, interpreted as reflecting a near surface fault zone.
It should enter the low SI basement unit near 320m depth.
